Full Production Flow of Turnkey WPC Factory
Step 1: Waste Plastic Recycling
All kinds of waste PP/PE plastic (plastic film, bottles, packaging scraps, production offcuts) are sent into the recycling system for crushing, impurity washing, drying and pelletizing, forming clean plastic raw material granules ready for mixing.
Step 2: Biomass Wood Powder Preparation
Raw wood waste, bamboo scraps, rice husk, wheat straw and cotton stalk are processed through chipping, coarse crushing, fine grinding and drying to get standardized 80–100 mesh dry wood powder, stable particle size for consistent composite performance.
Step 3: Automatic Raw Material Mixing
Quantitatively feed plastic pellets, wood powder and chemical additives according to customer-customized formulas into hot-cold mixing unit, full automatic stirring to eliminate material segregation and guarantee uniform composition.
Step 4: WPC Compounding Granulation
Mixed materials go through twin-screw granulation extruder for full plasticization and fiber-plastic fusion. WPC master pellets from this step avoid poor mixing, bubbling and low strength issues in subsequent profile extrusion.
Step 5: WPC Profile Co-Extrusion Molding
WPC pellets are fed into the main conical twin-screw extrusion line. Under precise segmented temperature control, material melts and flows through custom molds, then passes vacuum calibration cooling, traction and fixed-length cutting to form semi-finished hollow/solid WPC profiles.
By changing mold, the WPC profile extrusion line can make different WPC profiles, such as WPC decking, WPC wall cladding, WPC fence panel, WPC column, WPC panel profiles etc.
Step 6: Surface Texture Treatment
Equip online embossing machine directly after the mold to press 3D wood grain on hot profiles; or send semi-finished boards to offline embossing/sanding brushing machines to realize matte, rough, deep wood texture surface effects as market demands.
Step 7: Inspection, Stacking & Finished Product Storage
Finished WPC boards are sorted, stacked and packaged for outdoor landscape, construction and decoration projects.
All of these machines and processes contribute to creating textures that resemble genuine wood, or so it is said. This, in turn, enhances aesthetics—this word is often used, isn’t it?—and also outdoor durability, which is quite necessary, especially for outdoor products. So, there you have it, a series of machines and processes, each with its own role, all working together in a somewhat chaotic manner to produce something that might resemble decking boards.
