Global Demand for Flame-Retardant Flooring Heats Up; Yongte Plastics Machinery Expands into Overseas Markets

The global market demand for flame-retardant flooring is showing a steady growth trend. According to research data from Grand View Research, the global market size for flame-retardant wood-plastic composite (WPC) flooring reached US$8.6 billion in 2024 and is projected to exceed US$15 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 9.2% during this period. This growth is mainly driven by several factors: the gradual implementation of the EU Carbon Tariff (CBAM), the continuous upgrading of building safety standards in North America, and the rising demand for infrastructure construction in Southeast Asia, all of which have jointly promoted international demand for building materials that combine fire safety and low-carbon characteristics.

In this market environment, Yongte Plastics Machinery's intelligent flame-retardant WPC flooring production line has gradually gained recognition from overseas customers. This production line has now entered more than 20 countries and regions in Europe, America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, becoming an important support for the company's expansion into international markets. From a technical perspective, the production of flame-retardant WPC flooring has long faced several common challenges, including how to adapt to different international market standards, improve the dispersion uniformity of highly filled flame retardants, and solve the problem of material performance degradation during high-temperature processing.

To address these challenges, Yongte's production line employs several targeted technical solutions. The equipment can flexibly adjust the flame-retardant formula according to the fire resistance requirements of different regions. Its independently developed vacuum-depleted twin-screw side-feeding system can strictly control the quantitative addition error of flame retardants such as aluminum hydroxide within 0.5%. Combined with a co-rotating twin-screw extruder with a length-to-diameter ratio of 40:1, the flame-retardant components are more fully integrated with the wood-plastic composite substrate, thus consistently meeting mainstream international standards such as EU B1 and US UL94 V0. Actual application feedback shows that this equipment helps users stabilize the oxygen index of their products above 35%, meeting the stringent fire resistance requirements of the high-end market.

The production line also demonstrates excellent adaptability to different regional operating environments. For example, considering the hot and windy climate of the Middle East, the specially developed high-temperature stable equipment can maintain a stable processing temperature of 160-180℃ at an ambient temperature of 45℃. Simultaneously, through hard chrome plating of the die head and multi-stage vacuum degassing technology, it effectively addresses equipment wear and flame retardant degradation issues. For the European market, which has stringent environmental requirements, the production line is equipped with an alkali spray tower and a secondary activated carbon adsorption system, ensuring VOC emissions are below 30 milligrams per cubic meter, exceeding local certification standards. User feedback indicates that this equipment effectively supports companies in controlling their carbon footprint and coping with increasingly stringent carbon tariffs.

Regarding intelligence and production efficiency, the production line integrates online oxygen index detectors and infrared spectrometers, enabling real-time monitoring of key quality indicators and automatic data recording, meeting the traceability management requirements of the European and American markets. Simultaneously, by optimizing process parameters through a built-in MES system and AI algorithms, overall production efficiency has increased by approximately 25%, and the product defect rate has decreased from the industry-common 8% to below 3%. Looking at global regional market differences, North America maintains stable demand for wear-resistant and flame-retardant flooring due to ongoing renovation projects; Southeast Asia, driven by infrastructure boom, focuses more on the cost-effectiveness and speed of production line deployment; and the Middle East market favors outdoor weather-resistant products. Yongte provides corresponding configuration solutions based on the characteristics of different regions and has already established stable partnerships with several clients, including companies in Dubai.

The General Manager of Yongte Plastics Machinery stated, "The global market's requirements for flame-retardant building materials are constantly increasing. We place greater emphasis on helping customers adapt to regulatory requirements through solid technological accumulation, while creating real value in cost control and efficiency improvement." Yongte has established partnerships with multiple companies from the United States, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and other countries, with signed orders exceeding 50 million yuan. As international market demands for fire safety and low-carbon environmental protection continue to deepen, Yongte Plastics Machinery plans to continuously promote product iteration, providing overseas customers with equipment solutions that better meet their actual production needs.
