The embossing of WPC decking should not only achieve decorative effect, but also ensure that the anti-slip value of the floor is up to standard; too shallow embossing will lead to a decline in the anti-slip performance, while too deep embossing may damage the structure of the board and cause cracking problems in later use.
The "thermoplastic + wood fiber" dual characteristics of wood plastic materials determine that the adjustment of embossing must take into account three elements: temperature, pressure and time.
When making wood plastic embossing:
l The temperature is not enough, the material is not soft enough, no matter how much pressure is applied, no clear texture can be produced
l If the pressure is too small, the pattern is shallow and easy to wear; if the pressure is too large, the edge will overflow
l If the flower pressing time is too long, the surface will be burnt; if the flower pressing time is too short, the pattern will not be firm

Common faults
1. The middle of the pattern is dark and the edge is light
Solution: Check the parallelism of the embossing roller, adjust the pressure application elements at both ends, and increase the edge pressure value.
2. The pattern has discontinuity and incoherence
Solution: Use the "double embossing process": first use a water-cooled roller to press out parallel grooves, then use a pattern roller to press again. The first groove press makes the material locally loose, and the second groove press makes it easier to form clear patterns.
3. Surface scorch marks
Solution: Reduce the temperature by 5-10℃ and shorten the embossing time.

1. Flower roller matching principle: the pressure of new flower roller should be reduced by 30% for the first time, and then gradually adjusted to the standard value after 50 meters of trial pressure, so as to extend the service life of flower roller. .
2. Environmental compensation adjustment: every 5℃ change in ambient temperature, embossing temperature should be adjusted by 3-5℃; when the humidity exceeds 60%, it is recommended to increase the pressure by 5%.
3. Key points of regular maintenance: Clean the surface of embossing roller every week, check the accuracy of pressure sensor every month to ensure long-term adjustment accuracy.
